Awards Night 2017

On Wednesday 17th May 2017, over 200 players, parents and family attended the annual Leicester Warriors Awards Night at Highfields Community Centre.
The night was compered by Coach Mebs Bachoo alongside Emily Clarke and involved all players receiving basketball trophies with special awards and trophies for Most Valuable Player, Most Improved Player and Coaches Player of the Year for each of the teams.
Music was provided throughout the night topped off by complementary food provided by the club.
Parent Chantell said ‘It is amazing what the club does, everyone is so welcoming, and the volunteers work so hard for the enjoyment of the kids.”
Coach Brett Collins said “We had both boys and girls team ranging from the under 11s right through to the U18s, it was a very enjoyable night, and we have some great basketball going on at this club.”
Director of basketball Karl Brown said “We are a community club, which provides basketball for everyone, not matter what their background, or status, everyone is treated equally here, and we have some great coaches, working hard with the players in improving their game.”
Anybody that would like to play for our teams get down to one of our community sessions THE FIRST SESSION IS FREE! We are always looking for new players whatever ability!
Boys: 10am-12noon at Evington Leisure Centre on Saturdays
Girls: 10am-12noon at Gateway College on Saturdays
