U11s East Mids Team

Congratulations to Niall, Hannah, Marysia, Tanaka, Emma and Eve who have just been selected for the U11s Boys and Girls East Midlands Team.
On Sunday 12th June 2016 they made the trip to Sheffield with coach Reuben J Walker where they represented the region.
Although they did not win the tournament they made great friends and had a great day.
Coach Reuben J Walker said “We have a number of girls who attend Gateway College every Saturday morning to learn the basics of basketball and this tournament allowed them to highlight their skills. They are a pleasure to work with”.
Coach Arbham Giga who assists with the boys basketball at Evington Leisure Centre (every Saturday) said “Niall has been with us for over a year now and he is a great kid, always happy and smiling and has made so many friends. I was so chuffed for him when he made the tournament and it was great he could showcase his skill to other players around the country”.
Remember if you want to learn to play basketball come on down every Saturday to Evington Leisure Centre (boys) or Gateway College (girls), 10-12, cost is only Ā£2. Further details are available on our join us page.
