U18s beat 2nd placed Nottingham Hoods

1st Placed Warriors U18s took on Second placed Nottingham Hoods Basketball Club at Mapperley sports Village on the 10th December 2016.
In a very scrappy first quarter the Leicester Warriors edged by 1 point, 17-16.
Coach Tony Francis deputises for Coach Bilaal Kazi-Andrews made a defensive change and in the 2nd quarter the Warriors went on to outscore Nottingham Hoods 26-8, resulting in going in the half 43-24.
The second half the intensity of the Warriors increased and they finished the 3rd with a 30 point cushion. 62-32.
The game ended with Coach Tony Francis able to use all his bench, 77-49.
Coach Tony Francis “A great team performance from the U18 Squad especially on defense for 20 minutes where we only gave up 16 points (in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. I knew they were going to be tough but we played ball and came out winners. A big thank you must go out to U16s Abdulahi and Karam who made valuable contributions in limited minutes having already played in an earlier game”.
The U18s currently are top of the league and they are away next week to the Northampton Titans Basketball Club.
