Kareem Queeley – Szent Istvan Basketball Cup

Congratulations to Kareem Queeley with his Real Madrid basketball team won the U16 Szent Istvan Basketball Cup on the 29th January 2017.
The three day tournament took place at the Vodafone-Sportcentrum in Hungary and featured the top teams from Europe (Real Madrid, FC Bayern Munich , Partizan Belgrade (Serbia), Alba Fehervar (Hungary), F.C. Barcelona (Spain), Stellazzurra BA Rome (Italy), Cibona Zagreb (Crotia), Hungarian U16 National Team (Hungary).
Kareem performed exceptionally well over the tournament scoring 10 points against Barcelona, along with 7 points against FC Bayern Munich, including a number of assists and steals throughout the weekend.
Head Karl Brown said “I watched the feed live on Youtube it was testament to the hard work that Kareem has put in that he is now playing amongst the elite players in Europe. ”
Kareem Queeley started with the Leicester Warriors at the age of 10 were he was taught basketball fundamentals, and given him an insight into what he could achieve with hard work.

Boys: 10am-12noon at Evington Leisure Centre on Saturdays
Girls: 10am-12noon at Gateway College on Saturdays
