Basketball Goes From Strength to Strength

On Saturday 17th September our boys youth programmes faced each other in our pre-season tournament at Crown Hills Community College, Leicester. We had teams from the u12s right through to our u16s play ball against each other in a fun packed day.

It was an opportunity for the kids to show what they have been learning through the summer with the Warriors coaches and also a time to celebrate our growth within Leicestershire basketball.

Parent Emila said “I didnt know about this club until i googled it, but both my kids love it. The work the staff put in is amazing. My daughter attends the session at Gateway with Coach Reuben and her confidence is so high, she loves basketball now.”

New coach Brett Collins said “I have been very impressed by these guys. Everyone chips in, and it is a very nice family based club. I know we all volunteer but i think we can all say we get great joy watching the kids improve”.

Head Coach Karl Brown said “Our youth programme has been running for so many years now and we are very fortunate to have great volunteers who can see that the time they put in makes a big difference to the kids of Leicester. We want them to learn to play basketball, but more importantly have fun and make friends.”

A big thanks to our coaches Tony Francis, Brett Collins, Arbham Giga, Meb Bachoo, Bilal Andrews and Jermaine.

Remember anyone is welcome to join the Leicester Warriors .
